Powers of Man

Tantric Workshops for Men

Throughout history, indigenous cultures around the world viewed gay and bi men as those who “walk between worlds.” We were seen as being a combination of the masculine and the feminine, and were considered the “two spirited ones.” We were viewed as balanced, and "whole" human beings. We were the shamans, the medicine people, the visionaries, the mediators, the healers, and the peacemakers of our tribe. We were held in such high esteem that the only individual who was above us in the hierarchy of the tribe was the chief. With all that is going on in the world right now, and with the balance of power so precariously out of balance, it is time for us to remember and re-assume our ancient roles. Society needs us now more than ever.

In the “Powers of Man” workshops we will explore gay and bi men’s important roles in the healthy functioning of ancient cultures as a way to educate and empower us to re-embrace these roles in our lives today. Our workshops together will combine the practices of Yoga, Meditation, Bodywork, Tantric Touch, Chanting, and Sacred Drumming. Some prior experience with any of these practices is helpful and will be discussed in the application process. These workshops take place in Seattle and are limited to 14-16 participants per workshop.
